Duke has been a resident of the Wood River Valley since 1998.  She and her husband have owned and operated Duke Computer Solutions for the past 14 years.  She has held other positions including Membership Manager at the former Sun Valley/Ketchum Chamber & Visitors Bureau, returning at a later date as their Public Relations and Social Media Manager.  She has been involved with various non-profits including Wagon Days, the Rotary Duck Race, and currently serves as the president of the Hailey Public Library Board of Trustees.

Hailey Gallery Hours: W–F 2–6pm

Since opening in 2006, The Center, Hailey has been used as exhibition space as well as a place to house Sun Valley Center visiting artists and hold small discussions or lectures. Exhibitions in Hailey often focus on the  work of a single artist whose content is linked to the ideas being  explored in concurrent exhibitions in Ketchum. The Centeroften uses this space to showcase the work of emerging local  and regional artists. In addition to the gallery space in the Pound/McKercher house,  The Center has a dedicated classroom building on the site that was  completed in fall 2006 and is in almost constant use for classes for  adults, teens and students.

I was born in Fort Myers, Florida in 1969. I received a B.F.A. from Auburn University in 1993, then continued to the University of Pennsylvania for a Masters of Fine Art. It has been an exciting challenge to combine my inspiration from East to West.
Recently painting a series of landscapes, I am creating a body of work with an emphasis on imagination and attention to Nature. I paint mostly from a minds eye; however, I am inspired by Idaho’s grand landscape. I have been painting with a freshness which is emotionally and intuitively driven; first thinking of color, then contrast as surface tones. I hope to capture the interest of the viewer with nuances and subtle layering of paint. Color remains my subject, only pushed into the shape of a landscape.
